Linwood College is a co-educational state secondary school located in beautiful Christchurch. The College has a convenient central location and students are able to travel by bus to the city centre in seven minutes. The School is also close to Brighton and Sumner beaches. Linwood College was founded in 1954 and has a multicultural roll of 1000 which includes about 50 International students. Linwood College has an excellent national reputation for its Performing Arts Programme and offers an Adventure Education course which is unique in New Zealand.

Facilities

Classrooms are modern and facilities include six Computer suites, Music and Drama suites, specialist Science laboratories, two gymnasiums, a computerised library, and a media suite, sit down canteen and senior common room. The School buildings are surrounded by trees in spacious grounds which include three tennis courts and large green playing fields.
