Shirley Boys’ High School is a boys’ school with a proud tradition of excellence in the academic, sporting and cultural areas. Students are encouraged to work hard and be involved in the many sports and activities within the school. Academic excellence is promoted and many of our graduates enter tertiary level training institutions and universities. The school has for many years welcomed overseas students and we value and promote relationships being developed between NZ students and students from a range of overseas schools and cultures.

Shirley Boys’ High School has an experienced team in the International Department with 4 dedicated ESOL teachers as well as a teacher aide and an administration support person. We provide full pastoral care with trained ESOL counsellors
