A co-educational secondary school (Years 7-13) in rural Canterbury just 90km from Christchurch city and the International airport.  Our small town of Methven is located on the edge of the Canterbury Plains beside the foothills and mountains, and adjacent to the Rakaia River.

Closest settlement to the base of Mt Hutt and the Mt Hutt Skifield. Methven is the accommodation base for the Mt Hutt skifield – students can access the skifield for skiing or snowboarding in the weekends and as part of the school programme.
